Shipping Insurance Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before purchasing optional Shipping Insurance (“Shipping Insurance,” “Insurance,” or “Coverage”) offered by EnginePartsOnly.com (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By purchasing Shipping Insurance, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Coverage Overview
Shipping Insurance provides optional, limited protection for orders that are lost, damaged, or stolen prior to delivery. Coverage is offered as a flat-rate fee of $2.99 USD per order and must be selected at the time of checkout. This service is entirely optional and non-refundable once the order has been placed.
2. Coverage Scope
Shipping Insurance only applies to:

Loss of goods in transit prior to carrier confirmation of delivery.

Damage occurring during shipping and reported within the required claim window.

Theft of packages occurring prior to carrier confirmation of delivery.
3. Exclusions
Shipping Insurance does not cover any of the following:

Loss, theft, or damage after delivery has been confirmed by the carrier.

Claims made outside the specified time window (see Section 4).

Orders not placed with Shipping Insurance selected at checkout.

Products lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.

Packages marked as “Delivered” by the carrier but claimed to be missing (these must be resolved with the carrier directly).

Items seized, delayed, or lost due to customs or import regulations.
IMPORTANT: Once a package is marked “Delivered” by the shipping carrier, our liability—and the coverage provided under this Insurance—ends immediately. No exceptions.
4. Claims & Time Limitations
To initiate a Shipping Insurance claim, the following conditions must be met:

Claims must be submitted within five (5) calendar days of carrier-confirmed delivery or expected delivery date, whichever is earlier.

Proof of damage or loss (including photos, order number, and shipping label) must be included with your claim.
Failure to submit a complete and timely claim will result in denial. We reserve the right to deny any claim we deem to be fraudulent, incomplete, or outside the scope of coverage.
5. Payout & Resolution Process
Once a valid claim is reviewed and approved, we may, at our sole discretion:

Issue a replacement for the lost or damaged item(s), or

Issue a refund limited to the value of the affected item(s), excluding the Shipping Insurance fee
Shipping Insurance fees are non-refundable, regardless of claim approval status.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:

Providing accurate shipping information at the time of order

Monitoring tracking updates from the carrier

Notifying us promptly of any delivery issues

Shipping Insurance is not an insurance policy in the legal or regulatory sense, nor does it constitute coverage under any licensed insurance provider.

This service is provided as a courtesy and governed exclusively by these Terms.

We assume no liability for any loss, damage, or claim outside the terms explicitly stated herein.

8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
