Shipping Protection Terms & Conditions


Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before purchasing optional Shipping Protection (“Shipping Protection,” “Protection,” or “Coverage”) offered by EnginePartsOnly.com (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By selecting Shipping Protection at checkout, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following Terms.


1. Coverage Overview

Shipping Protection is an optional, merchant-operated service that provides limited coverage for loss, damage, or in-transit theft of goods prior to confirmed delivery by the carrier. This service is available for a flat fee of $2.99 per order and must be selected at the time of checkout. It is non-refundable once the order is submitted.

This program is not a regulated insurance product and is administered solely by EnginePartsOnly.com.


2. Coverage Scope

Shipping Protection applies exclusively to the following scenarios:

  • Loss of goods in transit, prior to the shipping carrier’s delivery confirmation.

  • Damage sustained during shipment, as documented and reported within the required timeframe.

  • Theft occurring during transit, prior to delivery being marked “Delivered” by the carrier.


3. Exclusions

Shipping Protection does not apply to:

  • Loss, damage, or theft after the package is marked “Delivered” by the shipping carrier, including porch theft or misplacement.

  • Claims filed more than five (5) calendar days after the carrier’s confirmed delivery or expected delivery date, whichever comes first.

  • Orders not opted into Shipping Protection at the time of purchase.

  • Packages delayed, lost, or held due to customs or import regulations.

  • Items lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.

  • Packages marked as “Delivered” but claimed as missing—these must be addressed with the carrier directly.

IMPORTANT: Once a shipment is marked “Delivered” in the carrier’s tracking system, our coverage ends. No exceptions.


4. Claims & Deadlines

To file a claim under this program:

  • The claim must be submitted within five (5) calendar days of either:

    • The carrier’s confirmed delivery date, or

    • The official expected delivery date shown in the tracking history, whichever comes first.

  • Claim submissions must include:

    • Order number

    • Description of the issue

    • Photo documentation (for damage claims)

    • Shipping label/tracking information

Incomplete, late, or fraudulent claims will be denied. We reserve sole discretion in determining claim eligibility.


5. Resolution & Compensation

Upon claim approval, we may, at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a replacement for the affected item(s), or

  • Issue a refund limited to the item(s)’ value, excluding the Shipping Protection fee.

Shipping Protection fees are non-refundable, regardless of claim outcome.


6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete shipping information at the time of purchase.

  • Monitoring tracking updates and delivery status from the shipping carrier.

  • Notifying us promptly of any shipment issues.


7. Legal Disclaimers

  • Shipping Protection is not a licensed insurance product and is not regulated by state or federal insurance authorities.

  • This service is offered as a courtesy merchant policy and governed solely by these Terms.

  • We assume no liability for any loss, damage, or claim outside the scope of coverage described herein.

  • In no event shall EnginePartsOnly.com be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost time or business.

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Shipping Protection constitutes acceptance of the most recent version.


8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.


9. Entire Agreement

These Terms represent the entire agreement between you and EnginePartsOnly.com regarding Shipping Protection and supersede any prior communications or representations.
